Iain Bremner is a widely experienced Insurance professional. He has spent over 35 years’ working in a range of board level positions and has undertaken multiple roles managing the governance responsibilities of various Lloyd’s Managing Agencies, including as CEO and Managing Director. He has acted as an approved person in the UK and internationally and formed part of the CEO Advisory Board, supporting the Society of Lloyd’s in developing its strategy for Brexit. He is FCCA qualified.

His wide range of experience includes the areas of Compliance, Risk, Company Secretarial, Finance, Operations and Underwriting Portfolio management.

He has a passion for helping nurture and develop the careers of the next generation of insurance professionals and participated in the Lloyd’s Community Programme.

Iain is also the Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Capita Managing Agency Ltd and a trustee of the charity, My Black Dog, which offers peer-to-peer support for people who are struggling with their mental health.

ICSR Responsibilities

Iain’s role as a non-executive director is to help steer the management and directors of ICSR as they create and execute our strategy to deliver the continued growth of the business. He helps ensure the services we provide continue to be aligned to the ongoing and evolving needs of regulated insurance firms doing business in the UK.
