ICSR will again be supporting the Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) with its presence at the 2024 BIBA Conference. This year’s theme is “What’s Next?”, an opportunity for our industry to collectively debate what the future of insurance might look like. With the conversation being facilitated by an impressively diverse range of keynote speakers and panelists, we’re excited that Matt Davies and Palak Bedi will be in attendance to participate in the debate.

Our Association With The MGAA

ICSR has been a Supplier Member of the MGAA for many years, supporting Managing General Agents, the insurers and brokers they work with, as they address the risk, compliance, governance and operational challenges that arise across their businesses. In 2021, we were recognised as MGAA Supplier of the Year, with an award presented to ICSR Director Kenneth Underhill by 2024 BIBA keynote panelist, Billy Monger. Billy is participating in Day two session, “Navigating What’s Next?” at 9.45am on Thursday 16th May.

BIBA 2024

The last 12 months has not been short of challenges for the broking community and those they work with. Our latest horizon scanning report – “Horizons” – included only 2 sections that were not directly relevant to the broking community. Some of the key issues Matt & Palak expect to be asked about at BIBA include the emerging trend for broking organisations to invest in their own risk functions, the continuing focus on the relationships between Principals and their Appointed Representatives from the FCA, the Consumer Duty (and the impending deadline for closed products) and the ongoing fallout from the very public scrutiny of the way Multi-occupancy buildings insurance is placed.

If these, or any other issues, are on your mind, do speak with Matt or Palak at BIBA. You can contact them in advance, or at the event, using the details above.

Risk & Compliance Director
