Assisting The Client With Building An MI Framework For Third Party Reporting

The Client’s Needs

The client is a leading (re)insurance business operating in Bermuda, London and Dublin with entities operating as insurance companies and MGAs. As part of a business transformation process that involved splitting the group into two, an insurer business and an MGA, it needed to upgrade its management information (MI) framework to deliver enhanced third party reporting against defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), pulling data from multiple databases. This involved both the migration of existing reports and the definition and build of new reporting requirements.

ICSR’s Solution

ICSR provided a data specialist from its Talent Pool to lead the work, utilising APIs to collate information from the multiple existing databases and provide a streamlined reporting solution. That solution delivered an enhanced MI framework that was aligned to the client’s MI and SLA obligations under certain outsourcing agreements aligned to its business transformation.

Resources Deployed

ICSR deployed a member of its Talent Pool with specialist data and MI capabilities and the necessary experience in delivery large-scale change programs encompassing data warehousing and platform migrations. The work was overseen by a director of ICSR.

Client Outcome

The client was able to meet its reporting obligations under the new SLAs, pulling data from multiple databases, with arrangements for structuring that data in the required format, utilising SharePoint templates based on Power BI for reporting the MI. The work was delivered as part of a wider business transformation programme, dovetailing with a significant number of related workstreams that all needed to be harmonised.
